Enjoy an autumn hike with a park naturalist on Saturdays in October to look for seeds at Platte River State Park! Make observations, learn how seeds travel and identify the trees that certain seeds have fallen from. Meet at the Nature Center. A valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.

Take a Friday evening float on Jenny Newman Lake! Join us at Owen Landing to partake in your preferred paddle-craft: kayak or canoe. Paddling is available for all skill levels and equipment is provided. Participants must fit in a life jacket to participate. Park permit required for entry.
Roll up your pant legs and meet us at Crawdad Creek for some aquatic exploration! Net and identify the critters you find and discuss their role in the ecosystem. Bring extra clothes, towels, bug spray, etc.! Park permit required for entry.
