Step into the world of Victorian fashion with Indian Creek Historical Fashions at Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park. Living historian Rayma Volkmer brings history to life in this entertaining, eye-opening look at how women’s fashion shaped daily life in the 19th century. Watch stunning Victorian silhouettes appear — from corset to bustle to full outer gown — all created using historic techniques and sewn on traditional treadle machines.

Did you know? A fully dressed Victorian woman could be wearing over 20 pounds of clothing — and she did it without zippers or elastic! And here’s the fun part: one lucky audience member will be invited onstage to become part of the program, experiencing Victorian fashion firsthand — from the corset out to the finished gown.

Come laugh, learn, and see history worn right before your eyes. because at Indian Creek Historical Fashions, we’re Bringing History to Life!
