Spring is the perfect time to fly a kite! Sign up to join us at the Schramm Treehouse Classroom for a kite-making workshop on Free Park Entry Day and in celebration of Nebraska Bird Month. Dominique Ellis with the Center for Great Plains Studies and Great Plains Art Museum will lead this hands-on, kid-friendly workshop. We’ll start with a short presentation about the rich cultural history of kites, look at some Nebraska birds for inspiration, and then dive into constructing and decorating your own bird kite to take home.
