First Day Hike at Mormon Island SRA

Kick off the New Year with a First Day Hike at Mormon Island State Recreation Area!
Explore the trail along the Platte River, look for different species of waterfowl and woodland birds. Enjoy the winter sunset along the Platte River Corridor. This will be a easy, one-mile hike on the Chain of Lakes Trail.
Remember to bring water, insulated hiking boots, snacks, your camera, cold weather gear and binoculars! Dogs are allowed on a 6 foot leash.
A 2023 State Park Vehicle Permit will be required for entry.
