SUMMARY:Postponed: Volunteer Day at Wagon Train SRA
DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed due to weather. Check back for the rescheduled event! \n__________ \nHelp us get Wagon Train Lake ready for the season! Volunteers can come for the whole day or drop in whenever they have time. Projects will wrap up around 4 p.m. \nVolunteers will work in teams on a variety of park improvement projects\, including: \n– Painting picnic tables \n– Replacing boards on picnic tables \n– Painting playground equipment \n– Painting restrooms \n– Light carpentry projects (trim\, siding\, doors) \nMeet at the Electrical Campground at 9 a.m. to get assigned to a project team. \nLunch will be provided thanks to Anderson Ford South and other community donors\, with coffee available in the morning. Register ahead of time so we can plan for lunch. \nREGISTER TO VOLUNTEER \n\nWhat to Bring\n– Work clothes you don’t mind getting paint on \n– Closed-toe shoes \n– Water bottle \n– If you are a carpenter and would like to bring your own tools\, you’re welcome to. \n– A valid Nebraska State Park vehicle permit is required for entry.

Visitors may see migratory birds and other types of wildlife. Enjoy the winter scenery on this 1 to 2 mile\, easy hike on a dirt surface trail. \nA valid 2026 Nebraska state park vehicle is required for entry and can be purchased at the park entrance.
