SUMMARY:Becoming an Outdoors Woman - BOW with the Flow
DESCRIPTION:Take your kayaking experience to the next level at Smith Falls State Park on August 8\, 9 & 10.  Spend the weekend with The Becoming an Outdoors Woman kayaking the Niobrara River\, primitive tent camping near Nebraska’s highest waterfall\, exploring the landscape\, hiking trails\, preparing campfire meals\, learning survival skills\, and more. Open to 15 women\, 21 years and older.  Be ready for an intense weekend packed with skill development. \nWe will meet at Smith Falls on Friday\, August 8 at 1:00 PM for introductions\, camp set-up\, kayak safety lessons\, and a short kayak trip on the river before sun down. On Saturday\, August 9\, we will spend much of the day kayaking the river while taking in miles of Nebraska’s beautiful late summer scenery. We will end the day with dinner and a campfire conversation with women who work on the Niobrara river. August 10 we will wake up with the birds on a hike around the falls\, prepare a campfire breakfast\, and take group photo.\n\nApplications will be accepted until June 27. Those selected to participate will be notified by July 1.  Selected participants will be invoiced $175 with the payment due by July 8. DESCRIPTION:Highly anticipated Ladies Day on the Range event isn’t just about hitting targets; it’s about equipping women with knowledge and skills to feel confident and secure operating a firearm or archery equipment On April 26 from 9 – 11 a.m. Kearney Outdoor Education Complex is just one of the six locations take part in the event. \nThroughout the event\, participants can try archery and shotguns. The day is designed to blend education\, camaraderie and fun! \nCertified instructors will provide participants with a solid understanding of safety\, aiming techniques\, and firing basics. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or new\, our welcoming atmosphere and expert instruction will ensure an unforgettable experience for women of all skill levels. \nEquipment and materials will be available to try or participants may bring their own. Ranges will vary on which firearm and archery is offered that day. \nAdvance registration fee is $15 and receive an outdoor related gift. Fee is $20 for those that don’t register before April 26. State Park Permit will be required.
