SUMMARY:The Science of Monarch Tagging
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo on Friday\, Sept. 4 to learn how scientists safely prepare and tag monarchs\, track data through the Project Monarch Science app\, and release them to continue their incredible journey! Stop by the booth located near the Children’s Adventure Trails any time during zoo hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.). \nFollow monarchs like never before using tiny\, solar-powered radio tags that transmit real-time signals on Bluetooth frequencies\, so you can detect tagged monarchs right from your phone. \nThis Project Monarch event is hosted by Monarch Joint Venture in partnership with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. \nThis activity is free and open to the public\, but zoo admission is required for entry. \nFor more information\, please contact Mercy Manzanares at mercy@monarchjointventure.org.
