DESCRIPTION:Looking to opt outside on Black Friday? Or just need something to do after your holiday shopping at the outlets? Schramm Park SRA is holding an outdoor volunteer opportunity! Join NGPC staff as we hike the river view trail and pick up trash to prep the park for winter. Bring gloves if you wish. Garbage bags will be provided.\nWear sturdy\, closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. All ages are welcome for this opportunity\, but anyone under the age of 18 must have an accompanying adult.\nRegister in advance if plan to attend so we can estimate head count for work materials: https://arcg.is/H1L5S2.\nMeet at the park shelter next to Pond A. We’ll kick things off at 10 am with an introduction to the project and then hike the river view trail together and pick up trash. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Fort Hartsuff with a recreation of the 1875 Grand Thanksgiving Ball! On Saturday\, Nov. 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.\, the Enlisted Men’s Barracks will be cleared out and decorated for a period-correct catered light supper\, music\, and dancing. \nDaytime activities will also be happening ahead of the event\, including dance rehearsal\, a shooting demonstration\, and more. The front desk\, gift shop and historical buildings will be open from noon to 4 p.m. \nDaytime festivities are open to the public with paid admission: $5 (ages 13 and up)\, $1 (ages 3-12)\, no charge under 3. A valid vehicle park entry permit is required. \n  \nDaytime Activities\n12:30-2:30: Military Marksmanship and Civilian Shooting Competitions – Watch reenactors engage in live-fire historical marksmanship and competitive shooting. Friends of Fort Hartsuff President Shane Johnson will narrate the activities\, sharing insights on military marksmanship practice\, historical firearms\, hunting excursions\, and more! \n2:30-3:30 p.m.: Dance Rehearsal with The Gum Springs Serenaders and dance caller Deborah Hyland – Enjoy 1870s music\, learn fun dance steps\, and see the Enlisted Men’s Barracks decorated for the evening ball. DESCRIPTION:Check in begins at 5 pm / ends at 5:45 pm; practice and scoring begin at 6 pm. \nMEMBERSHIP\nThe tournament is open to all USA Archery members as well as archers with no affiliation. Eligible USA Archery members can earn qualifying pin scores (pins are to be physically awarded by your home club – please check with your coach). No placement awards or door prizes will be given. \nPreregistration is very appreciated! Tournament fee and USA membership fee are separate payments\, if needed. Contact us at 402-471-6141 if you experience difficulty with registration. \n$10/youth\, $15/adult \n—– \nArchers wishing to participate in USA Archery’s Autumn Indoor Virtual Tournament may select that option during registration. For the additional $10\, a competitor’s first 30 scoring arrows will also be submitted to a nation-wide virtual competition.
