DESCRIPTION:Registration for the Outdoor Education Center’s Umbrella Match for handguns on July 7 & 11\, 2026. This match will be offered on two dates – attend on whichever day works best for your schedule (Tuesday or Saturday). \nThis is a three-match series open to pistols from all manufacturers. The course of fire will be the same as the GSSF Indoor League Series. \nThis is the first match for this series. Competitors must shoot in two out of the three available matches (July\, August\, September) to be eligible for prizes. August 4 & 8 and September 8 & 12 are the scheduled dates for the second and third matches. \nCompetitors may shoot up to 6 divisions – Centerfire Stock\, Centerfire Unlimited\, Centerfire Single Stack/Revolver\, Rimfire Stock\, Rimfire Unlimited\, and Rimfire Revolver. For division descriptions\, see below. First entry is $20\, second is $10\, and third through sixth (each) is $5. Secondary entries in the same division are $5 each and only count as additional chances in the prize drawings. \nThis match will follow GSSF’s ‘Original’ course of fire for all Stock and Unlimited divisions and ‘Option E’ for Single Stack/Revolver divisions. All equipment is provided\, please do not bring your own firearms or ammunition. . Closed-neck shirts and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Wildlife-vehicle collision data can help us make Nebraska a safer place for wildlife and humans. \nJoin us on July 18th\, 2026 | 10am-12pm at Schramm Education Center for a training workshop that will teach participants how to conduct surveys for this new roadkill reporting project! \nNebraska Game and Parks is looking for dedicated volunteers that can commit to conducting roadkill observation (photo only) surveys every month following the schedule below: \nDue to peak wildlife movement periods\, each site should be surveyed at least twice a month. \n\nFeb-Apr\nSept-Nov\n\nOutside of these peak seasons\, sites should be surveyed a minimum of once a month. \n\nDec-Jan\nMay-Aug\n\nIn this training workshop\, participants will: \n\nLearn about community science\nGain a deeper understanding of road ecology and how it impacts wildlife and humans\nAcquire basic ID skills for common animals in Nebraska\nRun through how to conduct a survey and upload observation data to iNaturalist\nReceive resources and materials\n\nRegistration is required to attend this workshop please REGISTER HERE. DESCRIPTION:Looking to get outdoors and volunteer? Schramm Park SRA holds regular volunteer opportunities to assist with land management efforts. Join NGPC staff as we work on activities such as invasive species removal\, seed collection\, trail maintenance\, brush piling\, and tree planting.\nRegister in advance if plan to attend so we can estimate head count for work materials: https://arcg.is/H1L5S2\nWear sturdy\, closed-toed shoes and long pants\, bring water\, and outdoor work/garden gloves. Long sleeves are also recommended. All ages are welcome for this opportunity\, but anyone under the age of 18 must have an accompanying adult.\nMeet at the park shelter next to Pond A. We’ll kick things off with an introduction to the project at the posted start time and then get started. Volunteers will need to sign a standard volunteer waiver upon arrival. We are meeting in the park\, so a state park vehicle permit is required.
