SUMMARY:2026 Fall Indoor Archery League - Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Add excitement and variety to your range practice by joining our Fall Indoor Archery League! \nThe Fall Archery League “Session 1” will meet at 7 pm on Thursday evenings for 6 weeks\, September 24 – October 29. If you can’t make it one week\, feel free to drop in during the center’s open hours and shoot the round. All targets must be shot at the Outdoor Education Center. \nEach week will be a different round\, with scores recorded\, and a cumulative score for the series. Target face and distances will accord to each round’s rules for ages and bow style. \nBow styles will be:\nCompound\nFixed Pin/Bowhunter\nBarebow / Traditional / Genesis (not NASP)\nRecurve\nNASP (will shoot a standard NASP round each week – up to 19 years old) \nIndividual prizes will be awarded by drawing ‘tickets’. Tickets are earned by attendance\, top score each week\, most overall improved\, and top overall score. The number of prizes awarded will depend on number of entries (minimum of 1 prize per 5 entries). Weekly top score tickets will be awarded for each bow style represented. Final cumulative scores tickets may involve combined divisions\, depending on participation. \nAges 8 and up. Previous archery experience required. \nParticipants without personal equipment may opt to use a rental bow (or if taking a class\, their class bow). \nSign up for all 6 weeks at once for $50 (20% discount for annual pass holders)\, or pay at the door for $10 per attendance. \nREGISTER NOW \nPlease call us at 402-471-6141 if you experience difficulty with registration.

SUMMARY:Haunted Hike and Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy some family-friendly spooky time shooting archery in the woods at the Turpin Outdoor Education Center on Saturday\, Oct. 24 or Sunday\, Oct. 25! \nREGISTRATION – Register groups of 2 to 10 people to experience a guided fall hike through our archery field course. Participants will get to explore the twisted trail and make 12 stops at archery stations to take aim at wickedly fun targets. No archery experience is needed and beginners are welcome! Participants must be at least 8 years old on the day of the event and an adult age 18 or older must be present. \nStart times for groups are available every 10 minutes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday or 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The course is approximately one mile and takes about one hour to complete (allow additional time for check in and check out). Only paid participants are permitted on the course. \nCheck in at our indoor front desk to get equipped and meet your trail guide before heading out. \nCostumes are welcome and encouraged! \nWe provide all archery equipment\, or you can bring your own. \nCost: $15/person or $10/annual pass holder. Register your group under one account name (add exact number of participants on payment screen). Large groups may be split into smaller pods. All participants must be paid in advance. \nVIEW PRICING AND REGISTRATION \nPlease note: Hunts can be chilly\, so dress to stay warm in the forest. During check in\, meet with your expert guide at basecamp to get equipped for your adventure. Once geared up\, head out to our Haunted Forest to encounter ghosts\, spiders\, and zombie critters galore. Those brave and skilled enough will make it back out of the forest to see the sun once again!

SUMMARY:Haunted Hike and Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy some family-friendly spooky time shooting archery in the woods at the Turpin Outdoor Education Center on Saturday\, Oct. 24 or Sunday\, Oct. 25! \nREGISTRATION – Register groups of 2 to 10 people to experience a guided fall hike through our archery field course. Participants will get to explore the twisted trail and make 12 stops at archery stations to take aim at wickedly fun targets. No archery experience is needed and beginners are welcome! Participants must be at least 8 years old on the day of the event and an adult age 18 or older must be present. \nStart times for groups are available every 10 minutes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday or 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The course is approximately one mile and takes about one hour to complete (allow additional time for check in and check out). Only paid participants are permitted on the course. \nCheck in at our indoor front desk to get equipped and meet your trail guide before heading out. \nCostumes are welcome and encouraged! \nWe provide all archery equipment\, or you can bring your own. \nCost: $15/person or $10/annual pass holder. Register your group under one account name (add exact number of participants on payment screen). Large groups may be split into smaller pods. All participants must be paid in advance. \nVIEW PRICING AND REGISTRATION \nPlease note: Hunts can be chilly\, so dress to stay warm in the forest. During check in\, meet with your expert guide at basecamp to get equipped for your adventure. Once geared up\, head out to our Haunted Forest to encounter ghosts\, spiders\, and zombie critters galore. Those brave and skilled enough will make it back out of the forest to see the sun once again!

SUMMARY:2026 Fall Indoor Archery League - Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Add excitement and variety to your range practice by joining our Fall Indoor Archery League! \nThe Fall Archery League “Session 1” will meet at 7 pm on Thursday evenings for 6 weeks\, September 24 – October 29. If you can’t make it one week\, feel free to drop in during the center’s open hours and shoot the round. All targets must be shot at the Outdoor Education Center. \nEach week will be a different round\, with scores recorded\, and a cumulative score for the series. Target face and distances will accord to each round’s rules for ages and bow style. \nBow styles will be:\nCompound\nFixed Pin/Bowhunter\nBarebow / Traditional / Genesis (not NASP)\nRecurve\nNASP (will shoot a standard NASP round each week – up to 19 years old) \nIndividual prizes will be awarded by drawing ‘tickets’. Tickets are earned by attendance\, top score each week\, most overall improved\, and top overall score. The number of prizes awarded will depend on number of entries (minimum of 1 prize per 5 entries). Weekly top score tickets will be awarded for each bow style represented. Final cumulative scores tickets may involve combined divisions\, depending on participation. \nAges 8 and up. Previous archery experience required. \nParticipants without personal equipment may opt to use a rental bow (or if taking a class\, their class bow). \nSign up for all 6 weeks at once for $50 (20% discount for annual pass holders)\, or pay at the door for $10 per attendance. \nREGISTER NOW \nPlease call us at 402-471-6141 if you experience difficulty with registration.

DESCRIPTION:Join park naturalists on an autumn hike through the woods for Halloween at Schramm Park on Friday\, Oct. 30! \nFollowing the approximately 1-hour hike\, we will have a “Gouge a Gourd” station set up where you can try your hand at throwing a spear with an atlatl at pumpkin and gourd targets. \nMeeting location: Meet in the lobby of the Schramm Education Center at 10 a.m. \nWhat to bring: Please dress appropriately for the activity and the weather. It is optional to bring a water bottle\, sun or insect protection\, camera\, binoculars or other gear. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for hiking. \nThe atlatl program is for ages 8 and up\, but all ages are welcome on the hike.

As darkness falls\, guests are led by costumed guides through the dimly lit mansion\, with only a candle to light the way. \nDuring this tour guests will learn about a few of the experiences encountered within the home\, but the focus will be on the history and legends of Halloween as well as the history of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). \nAppropriate for teenagers and adults. \nPurchase tickets here!
