SUMMARY:First Day Hike at Indian Cave State Park
DESCRIPTION:Ring in the new year in the great outdoors with a guided first day hike at scenic Indian Cave State Park! Meet at the large shelter on the north road at 10 a.m. on New Year’s Day for a hike on Trail #1. This moderate 1.7-mile hike starts on the ridgetops\, drops down to cross a small seasonal creek and climbs back up to the ridge on the other side. After the hike\, enjoy free hot chocolate\, water and roasted hot dogs. \nParticipants should dress for the weather and remember to bring snacks and water\, and binoculars\, if desired. Friendly pets are allowed on a six-foot leash. \nA valid 2026 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry and can be purchased at the park.
