SUMMARY:Women's Learn to Pheasant Hunt Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Join Becoming an Outdoors Woman and Pheasants Forever on a fun weekend learning how to pheasant hunt! The hunt will take place near Beatrice\, Nebraska on October 17 – 18\, 2026. \nThe weekend will include shotgun basics at the Beatrice Gun Club\, safety while hunting and handling a firearm\, shotgun selection\, upland bird cleaning\, meals prepared with game meat and a mentored pheasant hunt at Cub Creek Hunting Club. \nCost (covers food\, lodging and hunting equipment): $175 \nRegistration: Applications close September 10\, 2026\, at 9 a.m. CST and selected individuals will be notified by September 16.  Selected participants will be responsible to pay for the $175 fee by September 22\, 2026. SUMMARY:Ash Hollow Youth Mentored Waterfowl Hunt
DESCRIPTION:A mentored Youth Waterfowl Hunt will take place on Sunday\, Oct. 18 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time at Clear Creek Wildlife Management Area. \nYouths ages 11-15 are welcome to attend free of charge. Space is limited to 25 youths; pre-registration & Hunter Education class are required prior to participation. Preference will be given to kids who have never participated in the youth hunt; once registration fills\, additional registrants will be added to a waitlist. To register\, please call Tamara (Ash Hollow SHP) at 308-778-7708 or email tamara.cooper@nebraska.gov. \nIn-person check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the Clear Creek WMA office. \nSnacks and lunch to be provided. \nThere will also be door prizes and raffles\, along with a drawing for a youth lifetime hunting permit. \nThe morning workshop will be considered a Hunt Safe session. \nLearning Stations will include:\n•Firearm Safety \n•Decoy placement \n•Zones of fire \n•Blind safety \n•Duck calling \n•Trap shooting \n•Dog demo \n•Boating skills and safety \n•Waterfowl identification \n•Mentored hunt with a Conservation Officer \n  \nThis free event is sponsored by NGPC Law Enforcement\, Parks\, Wildlife and Education Divisions.
