SUMMARY:Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Level Up Wingshooting Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Take your shotgun shooting abilities further before upland\, dove and waterfowl (wingshooting) seasons takes flight. This hands-on shotgun class is designed for women who are already comfortable with the basics of shotgun safety and shooting and are ready to advance their skills for the hunting field.  Pick from one of the three hour sessions. \n\n\n\nAugust 22 | 10 AM – 1 PM | Ponca State Park\nAugust 29 | 9 AM – 12 PM | Oak Creek Sporting Club\, Brainard\nSeptember 19 | 9 AM – 12 PM | Oak Creek Sporting Club\, Brainard\n\n\n\nThe four hour session will help build confidence\, improve accuracy\, and get field-ready for a successful hunting season. Three different dates are available. \nFee includes the price of 50 clays and use of shooting range. You are welcome to attend more than one of the session. Join us with a favorite beverage as we share the purpose of the Cohort\, what to expect\, and how it has helped women grow their confidence and skills through hunting experiences. \nSummer is the perfect season to prepare for fall hunts\, sharpen outdoor skills\, and connect with other women who enjoy hunting and the outdoors. The Nebraska Ladies Hunting Cohort is a welcoming environment to learn new strategies\, gain confidence\, and share experiences alongside experienced facilitators and guest speakers. Free monthly “huddles” are held on the first Tuesday of each month.  \nWhether you are joining for the first time or returning as a past Cohort participant\, we hope to see you there. \nThe group meets monthly to learn a hunting-related skill. These include firearm safety\, shooting practice\, game processing and outdoor navigation. DESCRIPTION:A mentored Youth Waterfowl Hunt will take place on Sunday\, Oct. 19 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time at Clear Creek Wildlife Management Area. \nIn-person registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Clear Creek WMA office. Youths ages 11-15 are welcome to attend free of charge. Space is limited to 25 youths; pre-registration & Hunter Education class are required prior to participation. Preference will be given to kids who have never participated in the youth hunt. DESCRIPTION:With the September archery deer season approaching\, bowhunters are invited to Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area on Saturday\, Aug. 2 for a free bowhunter’s tune-up. \nThis will be a great opportunity for bowhunters in the community to come together\, share knowledge and experiences\, and get ready for open season. \n  \nDetails\n-This program is free\, but participants will need to bring their own equipment. A valid state park vehicle permit is required to enter Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area. \n-Range will consist of a 3D setup with targets from 20-60 yards for sighting in. \n-Shooters will also have access to a paper tuner\, and instructors will be on hand to help make adjustments and tuning recommendations.
