Join us for Zoology for Beginners at the newly renovated James Family Conservatory & Nature Center at Mahoney State Park!

Discover the field of zoology with an introduction to animal classification, physical and behavioral animal adaptations and how naturalists care for our Ambassador Animals. You’ll meet some of our live animals and participate in animal-related activities. Each session will last approximately 1 hour.

This program is free and open to the public, but a 2025 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry. 2025 park passes can be purchased at the park entrance.
