We’re inviting young hunter education graduates to put their skills to the test!

This fun, free competition gives kids ages 11 to 17 the opportunity to improve their hunting, marksmanship, and safety skills while competing for prizes. Participants will receive hands-on training from certified instructors in six skills areas, giving them expertise in all methods of take and all types of game. This challenge includes archery, shotgun, and rifle target shooting, orienteering, wildlife identification/hunter responsibility training, and hunter safety scenarios! The competition will take place at the Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex at Platte River State Park.

A valid park entry permit is required. Participants must bring their hunter education certification.
