Join us at Ponca State Park for our annual Winterfest!
We’ll kick off day with our Early Morning Christmas Bird Count, followed by Naturalist activities. At high noon, guests can participate in the Fruitcake Fling, where guest throw wildlife-friendly fruitcakes competing for distance. Prizes will be awarded for the longest throws in four age categories. The day with conclude with an Afternoon Christmas Bird Count and lighted hayrack rides beginning at 4:40 p.m. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served at the Resource and Education Center.
Hayrack ride info: Guests can sign up for hayrack rides while at the park. The pick up and drop off location is the Park Office/Resource and Education Center. Rides are free and take approximately 20 minutes.
All activities are free during this outdoor family tradition. A valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
