Learn how the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Watchable Wildlife Grant Program supports projects that connect people with Nebraska’s wildlife and natural resources. This presentation will highlight eligible project types, funding opportunities, and examples of projects that enhance wildlife viewing, conservation education, and public engagement across the state.

Presenter Bio: Meghan Thompson is the Watchable Wildlife Biologist with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, where she leads statewide efforts to connect people with wildlife through education, outreach, partnerships, and conservation initiatives. She administers the Watchable Wildlife Grant Program, supporting projects that enhance wildlife viewing opportunities, conservation education, and public engagement across Nebraska.

This webinar is part of the Master Naturalist Mondays webinar series. Nebraska Master Naturalist is a statewide volunteer conservation program.  Our program recruits, trains, manages, and provides resources for our volunteer naturalist members. We use four strategies to meet Nebraska’s conservation needs, Habit Stewardship, Community Science, Environmental Education & Interpretation, and Outdoor Recreation & Skills.  

This free webinar series will host a variety of presenters and subject matter within these four conservation strategies. Master Naturalist Mondays is a space to connect us to our conservation motivations and inspirations, and our Naturalist community across the state of Nebraska.
