The Big Sit: Holmes Lake

FreeThe Big Sit is a friendly challenge that asks the question “How many birds can we count from one location?”
Hosting the event will be staff from Spring Creek Prairie Audubon, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and Nebraska’s Birdability Captain for this free, fun, and accessible event. Join us for food, fun, and (of course) birds. Grab a chair or blanket and come enjoy the “tailgate” of birding. Stay for a while or the whole day, everyone is welcome! We will have some snacks available– but if you plan to stay awhile you are welcome to bring your own lunch.

Holmes Lake; Lincoln, NE
We will be located on the south side of the lake, just to west of the boat launch parking lot. Look for the BIG SIT sign.
