Environmental education initiatives have been shown to increase students’ knowledge about the environment and the natural world. However – increasing students’ knowledge represents the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the benefits environmental education programs have in the lives of students. During this webinar, we’ll learn about the extensive benefits by exploring a recent report and analysis of over 119 peer-reviewed studies demonstrating the impacts of environmental education for K-12 students. This report was conducted and funded through a partnership between Stanford University and the North American Association for Environmental Education, and demonstrates the power of environmental education in having a positive impact on many different aspects of student lives, including academic performance, critical thinking skills, personal growth and life-building skills.
