Learn the basics of fishing in a kayak in the quiet waters at Conestoga State Recreation Area. Expert kayak fishing instructors Marty Hughes (aka Kayak Jak) &  Justin Bogue will give you all the tips you need to land a fish from a kayak. Instructors will cover safety, types of kayaks, fishing gear, paddling techniques, where to fish, tackle, electronics, transporting & tournaments.

Class is $15 and limited to 10 people. A 2022 Fishing license is required.  All equipment will be provided. Participants may bring their own kayak and life jackets. Open to females 16 years and older.

ALL CLASSES REQUIRE A CURRENT 2022 STATE PARK STICKER. PARTICIPANTS SHOULD DRESS IN QUICK-DRY CLOTHING. PLAN ON GETTING WET/SUBMERGED.  BRING EXTRA CLOTHING AND DRY BAGS FOR YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS.
