Join us at the Outdoor Heritage Education Complex located within Platte River State Park for our Steel Plate Challenge! The Steel Plate Challenge is a speed shooting competition that consists of standardized stages with 5 steel targets, ranging in size from 10″ round plates to 18×24″ rectangular plates from 7 yards – 35 yards away. Open to novice and experienced shooters ages 16 and up.

Cost: $20 fee per person or $10 per person for those bringing their own firearms and ammo, payable upon arrival.

Equipment requirements: .22 (ONLY) rifles and handguns provided. Participants may bring their own .22 (ONLY) with their own ammo as none will be provided for personal equipment. All firearms must be in a case and will be inspected upon arrival. Eye and ear protection provided, or you may bring your own.

A current NGPC park permit sticker is required for park entry.
