Two brothers set out to write the world’s first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway!

In “Something Rotten,” Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical.

Catch the live theater performance of “Something Rotten” at the Post Playhouse at Fort Robinson State Park in western Nebraska. The play is part of a rotating schedule at the playhouse, along with “Damn Yankees,” “Desperate Measures,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Church Basement Ladies.” The shows run through Aug. 14.
