Love ’em or hate ’em, insects represent the most diverse group of animals on the planet.  August 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Schramm Education Center, learn to appreciate our six-legged nature neighbors by spending some time observing them up close. In this hands-on, field-based program, we will survey for insects in a tallgrass prairie. You’ll learn about insect classification, survey techniques, and gain an appreciation for just how many insects are contributing to the ecosystem around us.

Open to ages 14 and older.
