Science of…Mountain Lions

July 6, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

FREE
Cougar, puma, catamount, panther whatever you decide to call them, it boils down to one large cat species that is native to the Americas. Mountain lions have had an interesting mark on American history, yet are still some of the most feared and persecuted predators around. In this Science Of we will be focusing in on the natural history and adaptations of this predator, specifically the ones here in Nebraska. This species of predator is also one of the most controversial animals to talk about, but let’s break those barriers down. Join us to learn more about these interesting and elusive cats.
