It may seem weird to be discussing Garter snakes in February, but truth be told you could be one of the lucky few to witness these reptiles slinking through, or around the snow. February is known to have some warm days and that means you could see a Garter snake out and about for a short time soaking up the warm rays of sunshine. In this Science Of episode, we will discuss all about the four species of Garter snakes found throughout Nebraska. These are some of the most common snakes that people encounter, and I get it, they can be startling. But, come join us as we learn all about how to identify these snakes, learn their interesting foraging habits, and find out where you could see a garter snake in the state. Don’t miss this episode!
