In celebration of Nebraska Moth Week, Schramm Park State Recreation Area and Nebraska Extension are teaming up to hold a moth bioblitz. Join Nebraska Extension Educator for Urban Entomology, Kait Chapman, as she leads a moth lighting program in the park. Learn about the moths of Nebraska by observing the moths and other nocturnal insects attracted to a light at night, and help collect data about insect diversity in the park. We will use the iNaturalist app to document the species we encounter, and data collected during this event will contribute to the Biodiversity in Nebraska State Parks initiative.

This is a free event; meet at the Education Center at 8:30 p.m. and walk down to the park or meet in the park at the park shelter next to Pond A (state park vehicle permit required).
