Nature Journaling Workshop: Nebraska Inktober Edition

September 27, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

A nature journal is an extremely powerful tool for unlocking your creativity and being present in the moment. And paying attention to your surrounding environment can deepen meaning found during the time you spend in nature. You can even look back on your observations from the past to help track patterns in the world around you.

In this two-hour workshop, we’ll be talking nature journaling with a twist! Nebraska Game and Parks is diving into their second year of the Nebraska Inktober Challenge, an online event that uses Nebraska nature-related prompts to inspire an artistic creation each day of October. These creations are then shared on the social media platform Instagram and shared by us! We’ll be using our time in this workshop to focus on nature journaling and explore how we can use our time outside to participate in Inktober.

Who should attend? This workshop is for anyone interested in getting a start in nature journaling. It’s also for those interested in learning more about what Inktober is and how to participate in our Nebraska Inktober Challenge! Ages 12 and up encouraged.

This is a FREE workshop, but participants are required to register beforehand. For those that participate you will receive a nature journal and some basic art supplies. Participants must attend the entire class to receive these resources.
