Nature In Math: Early Childhood Educator Workshop

January 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

FREE
Mathematics exists all around us in the natural world. It is our task to bring our children’s attention to the data and help them see the world around them in a mathematical way.
In this educator workshop we will be using nature in early childhood to observe, count, measure, collect data, compare and contrast, and classify objects. We will also focus on using nature to teach math concepts such as symmetry, patterns, counting, observations, and the Fibonacci sequence.
This workshop is geared towards Pre-K- 3rd grade. All workshop participants will receive literature books and age appropriate activities associated with teaching math in the natural world. They will also receive two hours of in-service credit for early childhood.
This workshop is limited to 20 participants- register today! Register HERE!
