Join us at the James Family Conservatory and Nature Center at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park to learn what it is like to be a naturalist!
A naturalist shares their love of nature with others through educational programs and outdoor experiences. This program is for all ages and is open house style, so you can come and go throughout the morning or afternoon.
Stations will include these and more:
-Conduct a health check on a turtle.
-Make scientific observations and record them.
-Meet an animal ambassador and learn how we design a
habitat and enrichment activities to care for them.
-Learn about birds and managing a birding area.
This program is free, but a valid state park vehicle permit is required for park entry.
