Join us at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park for a Living History Weekend: Harvesting 1820 Style! Throughout the day, living history reenactors will be presenting as spinners, weavers, trader’s cabin, blacksmith/tinsmith, cooper and more!

Guests are invited to participate in an archeological dig that will be taking place on the west side of the barracks throughout the weekend. View the event info here.

10:00 AM        The Troop (Roll call, inspection, raise colours, and morning gun, flag pole)

10:15 AM        Prepare for Inspection (Sat. only, flagpole)

11:00 AM        “Feeding the Frontier Fort” (Sat. Only, Council House)

12:00 PM         Assembly, Noon Gun (flagpole on Parade Ground)

12:05 PM         Dinner Call (Peas upon a trencher)

12:00 PM         Pressing Apples for Cider (Sat. only, south gate)

12:00 PM         Log Hewing (Sun. only, northeast wall)

12:15 PM         “Feeding the Frontier Fort” (Sun. Only, Council House)

1:15 PM         Cutting grass 1820’s style (near north gate)

1:45 PM         Building a haystack (near garden)

2:15 PM         Winnowing (Camp Recovery platform)

4:00 PM         The Retreat (Roll call, Inspection, evening gun, flagpole)

Flag is lowered; Call in sentries–cease all challenging. End of public hours.
