Interested in learning more about handguns? Join us for our Introduction to Handgun class at the Outdoor Heritage Education Complex at Platte River State Park! The biggest challenge for new shooters is getting started. This class makes getting started in shooting very easy – and, thanks to NSSF partnership (National Shooting Sports Foundation), it’s only $10!

At our introduction to handguns class, you will receive an educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of firearms, individual and group training, a rundown of shooting sports opportunities for all levels of interest, and a chance to give shooting a try!

This seminar offers a small group setting for students aged 16 and over. All equipment is provided, please do not bring your own firearms or ammunition. . Closed-neck shirts and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Students aged 18 and under must be accompanied by their legal parent/guardian.
