During this webinar, hear from Ted Hibbler, UNL Extension Educator and Indigenous Educator, as he discusses the perspectives of Indigenous worldviews regarding our relationship with the earth, plants, water, and the natural world. Ted is a Sicangu Lakota from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, and has been an Indigenous educator for the past 45 years working as a teacher, coach, administrator and educator on the K-12 and collegiate levels with tribal communities. He is currently the UNL Tribal Extension Educator where he works with tribal communities in Nebraska to create relationships and partnerships between those communities and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

This webinar is part of the Conservation Education Lunch & Learn Series. Education is an essential part of conservation. Understanding how people learn and what motivates conservation-based behavior changes are complex subjects that span across many scientific disciplines. This free virtual series dives into the science behind educational efforts and practices by learning from experts on a variety of science and educational topics.
