Homesteading the Plains at Fort Kearny State Historical Park

Join us at Fort Kearny State Historical Park for Homesteading the Plains!
Schedule:
2:00 p.m. – Presentation by Grant Newbold on researching homesteading archives.
2:15 p.m. – Presentation by John Hunt the author of Secrets of the Sandhills. Jim Jones (aged 92) sharing photos and memories of homesteading in the Sandhills through the Kincaid Act.
2:30 p.m. – Musical performance by Miss V, the modern-day homesteader.
Refreshments will be served by members of the Christian Heritage scout group with a chance to visit with presenters.
