Homesteading on the Plains at Fort Kearny

Visit Fort Kearny State Historical Park on June 26 for a 1 p.m. to experience homesteading history on the plains!
Schedule
1 p.m.: The first 75 people at the event will receive FREE Fairbury hot dogs, sourdough bread with jam, lemonade and cookies.
1:45 p.m.: John Hunt, author of “Secrets of the Sandhills”, will speak about homesteading in Nebraska from the 1860s to the Kinkaid Act. Enjoy a musical performance by Fort Kearny’s museum host, Tim Sharkey.
A valid Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
