Great No Wake Weekend at Danish Alps SRA
The Great No Wake Weekend will include a kayak relay race; paddle battle or kayak tug of war; a beginners kayaking area; fishing; and a kids’ zone offering activities on June 12 at Danish Alps State Recreation Area in Hubbard.
Registration for the relay race opens May 7. Relay teams require four members, who will need to bring their own kayaks and life jackets for the race. The minimum age for the relay race is 16, with one teammate required to be over 18. Cost to participate in the relay is $40 per person, fees that will fund the development of a kayak accessibility dock at Kramper Lake’s. The registration form will be added here when available.
The other events are free, and people can register for the paddle battle the day of the event.
A Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required.
