Join us on Saturday, June 28 at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area on Lake #6 for Go Fishing Fest!

Learn the basics of:

-fly fishing

-bowfishing

-kayak fishing

-and more!

Rods, reels and bait will be available to use at our Community Fishing Trailers.  Volunteer fishing instructors will be on hand to provide information and help participants learn how to fish – and learn new ways to enjoy fishing.

Game and Parks staff will also have a station where visitors can learn more about aquatic invasive species identification and prevention in Nebraska, as well as an Outdoor Cooking Trailer where staff will demonstrate how to make milk can cooker fish.

Those who attend will also have the opportunity to enter youth (age 15 and under) into a half price youth lifetime fishing permit drawing.

A valid state park permit is required for park entry.
