Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a nationwide event hosted at state parks across the country to encourage girls to spend time outdoors. We welcome Girl Scouts to state parks, state historical parks and state recreation areas on this day and throughout the year.

Scouts are encouraged to register with their council and check in at the Nebraska Game and Parks Participating locations to get a copy of the 2026 “Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Explore Nebraska” magazine. The magazine features ways to engage in Nebraska’s landscapes, outdoor skills, professional women in the outdoor field, a scavenger hunt, links to educational videos and more.

Scouts can pick up a magazine at these State Parks, Recreation Areas, Historical Parks and Nature Centers: E.T. Mahoney, Platte River, Niobrara, Ponca, Indian Cave, Fort Atkinson, Fort Hartsuff, Louisville SRA, Two Rivers SRA, Wildcat Hills Nature Center, Schramm Education Center, James Family Conservatory and Nature Center at E.T. Mahoney State Park, Platte River State Park Nature Center
