Start off your New Year with a historical First Day Hike at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park!

This easy hike of the Legacy Trail is approximately one mile will begin west of the Visitor Center. This is a guided hike where we will walk a part of the Oregon-California Trail as we learn interesting facts and dispel some myths about pioneer travel in the mid-1800s. Follow wagon ruts along the trail, cross the toll bridge, and explore reconstructed road ranches. Hot chocolate and cookies are available at the Visitor Center following the hike. At the end of the guided tour at the East Ranch, participants will be encouraged to explore the ranches and/or take additional trails for more hiking opportunities

The Visitor Center will be open at 9 a.m. as well as immediately following the hike. This is a family-friendly opportunity and pets are welcome as long as they are on a six-foot leash.
