First Day Hike at Chadron State Park

Kick off the new year with a First Day Hike at beautiful Chadron State Park!
Meet at 1 p.m. at the Sawmill Shelter. We will take the scenic Steamboat Butte Trail, a moderate 1 mile hike with fantastic views of the surrounding area.
Keep an eye out for deer, rabbits, birds and other wildlife!
Remember to bring warm clothing, appropriate footwear and water bottles! Dogs are welcome on a 6 foot leash.
A Valid 2023 Park Entry Permit is required.
