Join the free Field Day for Managing Verdigris Creek Landscapes on Sept. 28 at Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park near Royal.

The field day tour will begin at 10 a.m. Ranch spotlights include:

• • – Managing Woodlands with Grazing and Fire
  • – Grassland Stewardship
  • – Keeping Verdigris Creek Healthy

Participants also will learn about Ashfall Fossil Beds, which is housed within 360 acres of Nebraska prairie. This historic location offers a 12-million-year perspective on rangeland ecosystems, and participants will learn how the property’s grasslands and woodlands are managed today.
