There’s no better way to spend a chilly day than to get outside and explore the wonders of nature as a family! Join outdoor educators as we discover the unique birds that call Chadron State Park their winter home. Enjoy family-friendly birding around the Lagoon Shelter and pond, and see how the Pine Ridge changes with the seasons.
Binoculars, field guides, and free hot drinks will be provided. No birding experience necessary! Be sure to dress comfortably for the weather.
Where: Lagoon Shelter at Chadron State Park
When: Saturday, December 17th. 9:30 a.m. -12 p.m. MST
- 1st Guided Birding: 9:45-10:30 a.m.
- 2nd Guided Birding: 10:45-11:30 a.m.
A Nebraska State Parks permit is required to enter the park. Permits can be purchased at
outdoornebraska.gov/permits/ The Chadron State Park office is closed on the weekends.
