Fort Hartsuff was named in honor of the Civil War hero, Major General George L. Hartsuff. On Saturday, May 17th, living history volunteers plan to take over the fort with 1860s impressions and demonstrations from the time of the War Between the States.
Cannons will fire at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and a night shoot at 9:30 p.m.
Historical Buildings and Gift Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Event admission: $5/adult (13 & up), $1/child (3-12 yrs), no charge 2 yrs and under.
May 17th is Free Fishing and Park Entry Day, so a vehicle permit is not required.
