Postponed: Calamus Kayak Adventure Race
July 29 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
This event has been postponed after a health alert for harmful algal blooms was issued at the lake. A rescheduled date will be determined and updated here.
Join us on Thursday, July 29 for the Calamus Kayak Adventure Race at Calamus SRA!
The race will be separated into 4 divisions: Kids, Adults, Open Class, and 2-person relay.
Kids and adults will be provided kayaks from the trailer. For the open class and 2-person races, personal kayaks may be used.
Registration for the event will be held at the York Point Picnic shelter from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The races will start at 11 a.m. in the cove at York Point unless wind is an issue in this area; then a contingency plan will be used to move the race to a more suitable location near the Buckshot Bay boat ramp area. Registration will still be at the York Point shelter even if the contingency race location is used. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each division.
