The Nebraska Bumble Bee Atlas is a community science project focused on tracking and monitoring Nebraska’s native bumble bees. We invite you to attend our virtual training series this spring to learn about the project and how you can participate. These webinars are a great opportunity to learn more about native bumble bees and what you can do to help them.
Part 1 of this virtual training series will serve as a “crash course” in bumble bee ecology and conservation, providing community scientists with the background knowledge needed to volunteer with the Bumble Bee Atlas. During this webinar, we will discuss the ecology and life history of bumble bees, threats and conservation issues, and what you can do to help support bumble bees. While this webinar is directed toward Atlas volunteers, anyone is welcome to join.
The Nebraska Bumble Bee Atlas is a collaboration between the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Xerces Society. To learn more about the Nebraska Bumble Bee Atlas, visit: www.bumblebeeatlas.org/pages/nebraska
