A birding activity that is accessible and inclusive! Rock Creek Station welcomes birders of all abilities, including beginner birders and families with small children, to a guided bird-watching tour hosted by Nebraska Birdability captain, Cassandra Dean.
The birding trail is about 1 mile – ½ mile in and ½ mile out – to and from the Visitor Center. The trail is a mowed grass trail with a slight slope. Picnic table seating will be available about ¼ mile from the Visitor Center. The guided outing will take about 1 hour and will be limited to the first 20 people. Birding may also be done from the Visitor Center lobby by viewing birds at the feeding station through the large picture windows.
Things to bring: Water and weather appropriate clothing for being outdoors. We have binoculars available to use or bring your own! Paved parking and restrooms are available at the Visitor Center. Please contact the park with any questions.
