Join us outdoors for a birding activity that is accessible and inclusive! Rock Creek Station welcomes birders of all abilities – including beginner birders and families with small children – to a guided bird-watching tour hosted by Nebraska Birdability captain Cassandra Dean. Join the guided bird outing which covers mowed grass trails of about 1 mile in length, or view birds at feeding stations from the comfort of the Visitor Center lobby.
Vehicle park entry permit required.
– Loaner binoculars will be available or bring your own!
– Meet at the Visitor Center.
The birding trail is about 1 mile – ½ mile in and ½ mile out – to and from the Visitor Center. The trail is a mowed grass trail with a slight to moderate slope. Picnic table seating will be available about ¼ mile from the Visitor Center. The guided outing will take about 1 hour and will be limited to the first 20 people.
Things to bring: water and weather appropriate clothing for being outdoors.
Birding may also be done from the Visitor Center lobby by viewing birds at the feeding station through the large picture windows.
Paved parking and restrooms are available at the Visitor Center.
