Learn how to create a miniature duck decoy! Experienced, award-winning carvers of the Central Flyway Decoy Collectors and Carvers club will lead you step-by-step through the carving process to complete a miniature redhead duck decoy over the course of four weekly, 4-hour sessions on Saturdays beginning July 27 at the Schramm Education Center.
Sessions include lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice using tools of the craft.

Registration is required. Numbers are limited. Ages 16 and older.
Included in the Beginning Wildfowl Carver Course:
• Approximately 16 hours of skilled training.
• 1 year free membership in the Central Flyway Decoy Collectors and Carvers Club.
• Optional entry of your carving in the CFDCC annual mini decoy show and contest in September.
• Several tools of the trade will be provided for you to keep following the course.
• The wood blank, eyes, paint and other materials to create the decoy are provided.
• The course value is $200 and you pay only $50 to participate. This fee is reduced thanks to the program’s partners: Central Flyway Decoy Collectors and Carvers and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
