Join us for ‘Accessible Birding – Birding for Everybody and Every Body’ at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park on Saturday, September 3rd at 8:30 a.m., led by Birdability Captain, Cassandra Dean!
Hike details:
Meet at the Visitor Center (opens at 8 a.m. for this event). The hike will begin around 8:30 a.m. CST.
The birding trail is about 1 mile – ½ mile in and ½ mile out – to and from the Visitor Center. The trail is a mowed grass trail with a slight slope. Picnic table seating will be available about ¼ mile from the Visitor Center. The guided walk will take about 1 hour and will be limited to 20 people maximum. Paved parking and restrooms are available at the Visitor Center.
Things to bring: binoculars, water, walking shoes and weather appropriate items for hiking.
