The annual Cornhusker Trapshoot is a competitive clay target shooting event for high school and junior high students held each spring in Doniphan, Nebraska. Hosted by the Nebraska Trapshooting Association and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, participants across the nation in grades 6-12 who have completed a hunter education course can compete, with the top high school competitor winning the “Cornhusker Cup” title.

All high school, junior high and 6th grade students nationwide are invited!

The 2027 event will be Thursday through Saturday – April 29, April 30, and May 1.

Pre-squadding for the event typically opens in late March, with entry forms available in early April; entries typically close the third week of April.

The regular trapshooting season in Nebraska runs March through April. Please reach out to your school or 4-H Extension Office for information about teams or clubs in your area.
