Have Fun at Ponca State Park!
10:00 am Beginners Guide to Photography — Learn the basics of using your camera, the top rules of composition, along with other helpful tips. We will go on a short walk for some hands on learning of wildlife and flower photography. Bring your DSLR or point and shoot camera. Meet at the Resource and Education Center. Please pre-register at front desk. Maximum of 25 people allowed. FREE
1:00 pm Atlatl- Participants will learn how to use the ancient Paleo-Indian spear throwing tool, called an atlatl. We will cover how it works and how it helped our ancient ancestors survive. All equipment will be provided. Meet at the Atlatl range in the Eric Wiebe Shooting Complex. $1/6 throws.
3:00 pm Solar S’more’s –Harness the sun’s energy to make the best snack ever. We will be making solar s’more’s! Learn how to use the sun to cook your food for you. Recipes & instructions for making your own solar oven will be provided. Meet and pay at the Resource and Educational Center. Please pre-register at front desk. Cost is $2.00/person and limited to 20 people.
